What I do to create intentional community around real estate wealth generation

June marked the anniversary of the launch of Live Love Durham. I had an intimate gathering of friends to spread the good news. It was then I realized that creating an intentional community around real estate was important. In the age of rampant misinformation and polarization, convening over common interests, passions, and beliefs can combat misunderstandings and build the bridge of community. I created the Homebuyers and Investors Interest Group on meetup.com. The group has since grown to 154 members. We meet every fourth Thursday of the month at Durty Bull Brewery in Durham at 206 Broadway Street Suite 104. The owners of the brewery in cooperation with UnBound Cowork have allowed me to utilize the space for free!

UnBound is a community grown network of coworkers who strengthen local businesses by empowering them to turn their underutilized beautiful environments into amazing coworking venues. Starting in Durham and with over 6 other locations on a waiting list within the Triangle, UnBound focuses on providing a similar coworking experience as major brands, but at a fraction of the cost. Members can participate in monthly professional events, networking opportunities and are free to work from any location within the venue network. For more information check them out at www.workunbound.com .

UPDATE: Since operating in a global health crisis. I now do a lot of virtual outreach on my Instagram page talking with industry experts on topics that matter most to aspiring homeowners and investors. Check out the free content there!
